Asian & Pacific Islander Caucus (APIC) UNCG Chapter

About Us

We seek peace, equality, and a society free of racism, stereotypes, and intolerance.

We are a chapter of the Asian and Pacific Islander Caucus (APIC) in the University of North Carolina system, a voluntary organization seeking to represent all Asian and Pacific Islander university employees. Our chapter is based at UNCG and welcomes all faculty and staff of any race or ethnicity. Our four primary purposes are to promote: Awareness, Education, Advocacy, and Support.

  • Awareness of the current API community situation, using facts, data, and personal stories to raise understanding.
  • Education about API history and culture to reduce bias and misunderstanding about members of our community.
  • Promotion and Advocacy around fair treatment and standing together against violence and xenophobia.
  • Supporting one another through our shared experiences and building a learning community around API issues.
